Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is recommended once the addict and partner make progress in their own individual therapy. Prior to beginning formal couples therapy, the couple will be seen periodically to address boundary issues, sexual abstinence issues, disclosure issues, and family planning needs. Once the couple establishes their own stability and recovery process, couples therapy can begin to address communication skills, fair fighting rules, pre-existing problems, financial needs, spiritual needs, and developing healthy intimacy and sexuality.
